NICHOLE THOMPSON
PARTNER
Born and raised in Springfield (Delaware County), Ms. Thompson attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Grade School (’93) and graduated from Springfield High School in 1997. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education – Social Studies with Minors in History, Geography and Criminal Justice from The Pennsylvania State University in 2001. She attended Hofstra Law School in Hempstead, NY, where she worked for the Admissions Office, participated in the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) Program, and was a research assistant for Family Law publications. Upon graduation in 2004, she taught in the Springfield School District while studying for the Bar Exam. She began her legal career at the Delaware County Public Defender’s Office in 2005 and was assigned to nine District Courts per week handling upwards of 175 cases a week. She was recruited by a private law firm in Wayne, PA to head their Criminal Law Division. After working for the firm for one year, she opened her own practice in 2008. In 2016, she formed this partnership with Lauren Donati. In addition to private practice, Ms. Thompson also worked part-time as a Staff Attorney in the Child Support Division of Delaware County Domestic Relations for several years. Ms. Thompson is experienced in Criminal, Civil, Family and Orphan's Court matters. She is a member of the Delaware County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Ms. Thompson continued to guest lecture for the Springfield High School Civil and Criminal Law classes, participates in the Annual Career Day, and assists with the Mock Trial team. She is married with two young daughters.
LAUREN DONATI
PARTNER
Lauren has extensive courtroom experience in the practice of many areas of law to include contract transactions, personal injury matters, workers compensation, social security, criminal defense, guardianships, and estate matters. Lauren graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cabrini University, there she studied Psychology and Italian language studies. Thereafter, she went on to study law at Widener Law School, graduating Cum Laude. At Widener she took part in Women’s Law Caucus and the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society. Upon graduation, and immediately passing both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar exams, Lauren began work for the Delaware County Public Defender’s Office. There she obtained invaluable experience and knowledge not only about criminal defense but local practice and procedure. From there, she went on to practice at a medium sized general practice firm in Delaware County, where for 9 years she handled a wide variety of legal matters and gained experience practicing in Chester, Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties. Litigating matters in New Jersey as well. She is a member of the Delaware County, Chester County, and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
In 2016 Lauren and Nichole formed Thompson and Donati Law, where they continue to practice many areas of the law.
